Is Greece In Danger Of Losing Treasured Sites?

Greece is being forced to sell state assets, mostly real estate, to keep from defaulting on its international sovereign debt. The selloff was part of an agreement reached with the EU after Greece asked for easier repayment terms. The popular media and radio talk show hosts have talked of the country being forced to sell off the Acropolis or even some Aegean Islands, but both have been ruled out. However, the government may be forced to sell land containing other archaeological assets.
